Fight Me MMA Set to Release Undercard for Debut Event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The recently-formed Fight Me MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) league announced its plan for unveiling the undercard fights leading up to its debut show “Fight Me 1 - The Battle Begins! Finney vs. Neer” which takes place August 14 at the Family Arena in St. Charles, MO. The main event of the card will feature Strikeforce veteran Jesse Finney and UFC veteran Josh Neer in what surely will be an action-packed fight.

The rest of the card will be just as impressive, and Fight Me will be announcing several fights per week on its website, www.FightMeMMA.com, leading up to the exciting co-main event announcement on July 28th.

To kick off the evening, Nevada native Josh Sampo will meet Arkansas native Eric Acuna in what is the first announced fight on the undercard.

Sampo is currently 2-0, and the 5-foot-5, 125-pound fighter trains out of St. Charles MMA. The 5-7 Acuna will be making his pro debut and fights out of the Team Gladiators camp. Both have had impressive success as amateurs and will look to make the next move in their careers under the Fight Me lights.

Sampo is a decorated submission fighter with explosive knockout power, while Acuna claimed three titles in an amateur career that saw him amass a 12-3 record, with 10 of those wins coming by submission.

“We are putting two exceptional athletes in there to start off the night,” said Fight Me Vice President of Competition Michael Nowling. “These two have made their way through the amateur ranks without meeting and now they do. This fight will be sure to have fireworks, making it a great way to start the night. Rob Donaker of Shamrock Promotions has done a fantastic job as matchmaker putting the night’s card together. It will feature some of the top names in MMA.”

Fight Me is the latest venture from the founders and management of the American Drag Racing League (ADRL), which has exploded in popularity in recent years. The business model for Fight Me is similar to the one that has been successful for the ADRL, and will include complimentary tickets provided by Fight Me sponsors.

Pre-ticket vouchers for Fight Me tickets will be available leading up to each event including at the ADRL Gateway Drags III on August 6th at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL. Fans visit the league’s website – www.FightMeMMA.com - to print free tickets.

The event will include 8-10 high-quality fights, and the debut event will also be streamed live on the league’s website in incredible high definition (HD) quality.
