4-LOM Collector’s Gallery Statue

4-LOM, a rusty droid with insect-like features, was originally a protocol droid, but logic glitches in his systems allowed him to escape and forgo his original programing and become a fearsome bounty hunter.  4-LOM is one of the bounty hunters summoned by the Empire to meet with Darth Vader aboard his mighty flagship, The Executor.  4-LOM was paired with Zuckuss to find Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon but they were beaten to their prey by fellow bounty hunter Boba Fett.  Here we find 4-LOM later in his story standing in the sands of Tattooine, searching for his next bounty… but who is his prey now?
4-LOM is the fourth statue in Bounty Hunter 1:8th Collector’s Gallery line celebrating over 40 years of the Star Wars universe. Each limited edition, hand-painted piece is cast in high quality polyresin with crisp details. This statue also comes individually numbered with a matching certificate of authenticity.

Venom Marvel Animated Statue

Sometimes a villain, sometimes an antihero, the alien Symbiote know as Venom strikes fear into the hearts of the Marvel Universe! When he is a villain, the hulking brute that is Venom is one of the deadliest foes of Spider-Man.  But, what about his down time?  In our latest Marvel Animated Statue, we find the fiendish Venom… out on a stroll enjoying his favorite, friendly neighborhood snack!

Venom is the 17th release in our popular and adorable Marvel animated statues based on the Marvel comic books covers done by fan-favorite artist Skottie Young. The Venom statue was digitally sculpted and carefully printed on state of the art 3D Systems 3D printers. The high-resolution prints were then used in the creation of prototypes needed to produce this animated collectible. Each animated statue is hand-cast, hand-painted, and hand-numbered with a limited edition certificate of authenticity.

Man-Thing 1:8th Scale Collector’s Gallery Statue

Dr. Ted Sallis was a humble biochemist doing research in the Florida Everglades.  His goal: to recreate the legendary Super Soldier Serum that created Captain America.  When terrorist organization A.I.M tries to steal the formula, Dr. Sallis destroys it and injects himself with the only samples.  Tragically, he crashes his car into the swamp while attempting to escape.  Left for dead. A combination of science and magic saves him, but he emerges from the bog forever changes into the monstrous MAN-THING!
This new 1:8th scale statue is inspired by artist Mike Ploog and his classic comic book cover from The Man-Thing #5 “Night of the Laughing Dead” as well as the vintage Power Records book and record set adapting the same story. The limited edition Man-Thing Collector’s Gallery Statue has been digitally sculpted, and hand-painted by the amazing artisans of Gentle Giant Studios and every one comes hand numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Whomever knows fear BURNS at the touch of the MAN-THING!

Wolverine ’92 Collector’s Gallery 1:8th Scale Statue

In 1992, long time X-men writer Chris Claremont left the book and John Byrne and fan-favorite artist Jim Lee took over the creative duties for the popular comic.  Jim Lee’s priority with his new art duties was getting Logan out of his brown costume and back into a variation of the blue, black and gold classic “tiger stripe” look.  With the launch of X-Men Vol.2 Wolverine was back in his blue and gold costume by issue 4 and stayed with this costume for close to a decade into his X-Men Blue Team phase.  The 92 Wolverine “tiger stripe” costume was also popularized for a generation because of the long-running X-Men Animated Series.
Gentle Giant celebrates almost 45 years of Wolverine with our newest 1:8th scale Collector’s Gallery Statue. The Wolverine ‘92 is the second statue in our recently announced Wolverine Collector’s Gallery series. The Wolverine ‘92 Collector’s Gallery statue comes with real metal claws, an attitude of “being the best at what he does” and is inspired by the cover art for Old Man Logan Vol. 2 #23. The Wolverine ‘92 Collector’s Gallery Statue has been digitally sculpted, and hand-painted by the amazing artisans of Gentle Giant Studios and every one comes hand numbered with a certificate of authenticity.

Daniel Pickett
AFi founder and Editor-In-Chief Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website www.ActionFigureInsider.com. Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on Bloomberg News, MSNBC.com, Time.com, The Wall Street Journal, The Saturday Evening Post, CNN.com, AssociatedPress.com Wired.com, Fark.com, Boing-Boing, Gizmodo.com, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows. But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.
