Most of those were in Waldo county.Another 500 Emera Maine customers, mostly along the coast, were without power.A spokeswoman for Emera Maine said the strong wind was making it difficult for workers to get in bucket trucks to restore power.She said officials expect the number of outages to climb.Forecasters say that snow is topping 20 inches in parts of southern Maine and is expected to reach two feet in some areas as winds of up to 60 mph lash coastal parts of the state.
