Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold In Newark: $25K

NEWARK, NJ — New Jersey Lottery officials announced that there were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second-tier New Jersey prizewinners for the Tuesday, Aug. 16 drawing, but there were five tickets sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, winning the $5,000 third prize.
The winning numbers for the Aug. 16 drawing were: 02, 43, 52, 62 and 63. The Gold Mega Ball was 06, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.
In addition, one of the winning tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, making it worth $25,000, officials said. That ticket was sold at the Wyndham Hotel Gift Shop in Newark.

The other four, $5,000 winning tickets were sold at the below locations:
- Bergen County: 7-Eleven #29984(N), 231 Main St., Ridgefield Park
- Bergen County: 7-Eleven #34523, 29 County Rd., Tenafly
- Monmouth County: 6-12 Convenience Store, 1 So. Main St., Marlboro
- Passaic County: Valley Spa, 61 E. Main St., Little Falls
The next drawing will be held Friday, Aug. 19 at 11 p.m. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing.
