Chevy Chase gets Alec Baldwin movie screenings confused

Chevy Chase had a minor mix-up on Sunday during a screening of “BlacKkKlansman” at the East Hampton Cinema.

We hear the legendary comedian walked into the wrong theater looking for pal Alec Baldwin — who is in the Spike Lee flick — but also stars in the new “Mission: Impossible,” which was playing in the next theater.

“Staff asked him if he was there for Alec,” a spy explains. “He said yes, and then looked confused and walked into ‘Mission: Impossible,’ which was right next door.”

We hear he eventually made it to the screening, along with A-list guests Don Lemon, Lorne Michaels, Christie Brinkley, Bruce Weber, Ray Kelly, Jill Martin and Mickey Drexler.

One of its stars, Damaris Lewis, said of the film — which is about a real-life black cop and his Jewish partner who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s — “When you watch this movie I want you to truly remember, this is not a made-up story. This is a real story. This is a period piece, but this is also now. Really listen, learn and repeat.”

Afterwards, guests headed to a party co-hosted by Hamptons Magazine at the Maidstone.

We hear Robert Downey Jr. happened to be hanging out at the swanky spot and joined the celebration.

Baldwin was heard telling guests that Lee told him he used every take of his cameo in the movie, including the bloopers.
