The Steelers' Mike Mitchell misses Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith in the fourth quarter Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at Arrowhead Stadium.

After starting every game in his first three years with the Steelers, free safety Mike Mitchell will miss his second of the season Thursday night.

Mitchell is on the inactive list for the Steelers' prime time game against the Tennessee Titans with an ankle injury.

Mitchell also missed Week 4 against Baltimore with a hamstring injury. He was limited in practice Tuesday and Wednesday and indicated he would play against Tennessee.

Also on the inactive list are tight end Vance McDonald, outside linebacker James Harrison, cornerback Joe Haden, quarterback Joshua Dobbs, tackle Jerald Hawkins and guard Matt Feiler.

McDonald, who did not practice Tuesday or Wednesday with an ankle injury, will sit out for the third time this year. Harrison is inactive for the second consecutive game with a back injury.

Coty Sensabaugh will make his first start in place of Haden, who is out with a fractured fibula.

Robert Golden is expected to start for Mitchell.

On the active list are nose tackle Daniel McCullers, wide receiver Justin Hunter and rookie cornerback Brian Allen.

Inactive for the Titans are quarterback Brandon Weeden, wide receiver Darius Jennings, cornerbacks Kalan Reed and Curtis Riley, guard Corey Levin, outside linebacker Kevin Dodd and defensive end David King.
