New Jersey native and international soccer superstar Carli Lloyd married high school sweetheart and golf pro Brian Hollins, according to a report.
Lloyd, the star of the United States women's national team's World Cup championship in 2015 and the Olympics this past summer, was wed on Friday, Nov. 4, in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, according to The Knot.
Lloyd, 34, was married before 75 friends and family members, according to the report. Lloyd, however, recently revealed that she is estranged from her immediate family because of disputes over her soccer career.
Her soccer stardom came with a price, she wrote in her recently published autobiography, "When Nobody Was Watching." When her father -- who had kicked her out of the house -- had open-heart surgery, she wasn't told until afterward, she wrote. And when her sister was married, Lloyd wasn't invited.
Lloyd, a former Rutgers star, also revealed that she has no relationship with her alma mater, blaming it partly on constant upheaval in the athletic department. Rutgers officials have said they are working to build a better rapport with one of the university's most famous athletes.
Here's part of the report on the wedding from The Knot:
Lloyd, 34, looked stunning in a strapless gown from couture bridal designer Matthew Christopher's fall 2016 collection. Her five bridesmaids donned Amsale dresses from Bella Bridesmaids.
The self-proclaimed "low-key bride" opted for an easy-going, destination wedding, which she previewed to The Knot in a November 2015 interview.
"I'm not really that difficult. I just want to have a good time with everybody, I just want to have a good night," Lloyd said at the time. "I want my hair and makeup to look great [and] my dress to be beautiful. But other than that, I'm not too particular."
