Following in mom’s footsteps is Morgan Psalmonds, a 2013 Clear Lake High School graduate who is coaching at the high school level for the first time this season. Mom Marci Psalmonds is the longtime Clear Lake varsity volleyball coach who also had a long stint as Upper Lake’s coach. Morgan, a former Lake County Record-Bee Athlete of the Year, is directing the Cardinals’ junior varsity volleyball squad this season while also teaching kindergarten at Lakeport Elementary School. Morgan celebrated the first win of her coaching career on Wednesday as the Cardinals beat the Upper Lake Cougars.
