Turkey, Latvia to enhance joint investment, trade


(MENAFN) According to the Turkish trade minister, Turkey and Latvia on Thursday decided to increase joint trade and investment relations.

After holding the First Term Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) virtual conference with her Latvian equivalent Janis Vitenbergs, Ruhsar Pekcan said the representatives addressed steps to attain a two-sided trade volume target of USD1 billion.

Pekcan noted the second JETCO conference is scheduled to be held next week in Turkey.

Aiming to the existing two-sided trade volume of USD293 million, Pekcan stated: "We identified the sectors where we can increase cooperation and bilateral trade and investment areas."
