It’s been six years since the last celebrity series was on our screens and producers are going all out to make this instalment the “most star-studded yet”.

Host Brendan Sheerin will be back in charge of taking the celebrity pairs on tour.

As with the previous format, the couple who wins the competition will donate their prize money to a charity of their choice.

Our insider tells us: “Coach Trip is so popular bosses knew they had to bring back the celebrity version sooner rather than later.

Brendan intervenes as Bruce viciously lashes out at Jayson on Coach Trip

“They’re keeping everything completely under wraps for now but they’ve been working really hard to sign up some really big names.

“It’s going to be the best line up ever, viewers won’t be disappointed.”

Celebrity Coach Trip was last on our screens back in 2012 with Paul Burrell, Bianca Gascoigne and The Chuckle Brother’s taking part.

The original series of the show first aired in 2005 and is a complete hit – with viewers hooked on the hilarious antics both on and off Brendan’s bus.

Last year it became more sexed up, with contestants handed condoms to encourage more kinky behaviour.

And now bosses are even planning a spin off, with passengers shipped off on a boat cruise around the Med.

Insiders told The Sun’s Bizarre Column: “Coach Trip has proved to be one of Channel 4’s most enduring shows.

“It makes sense to take that tried-and-tested formula into a different environment. In this case it will be one that’s even more fun and unpredictable.”

The Sun Online has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
