He’s really kicking himself! Drake and Jennifer Lopez may have been one of the shortest-lived celebrity flings of all time, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t still miss her. The rapper dropped a surprise new EP at midnight on Saturday, Jan. 20 which included two new songs, and he finally opened up about his relationship with J.Lo in a line on the track titled, “Diplomatic Immunity.”

“2010 was when I lost my halo / 2017 I lost a J. Lo / A Rotterdam trip had me on the front page, though I had to lay low, Hot Topic like your everyday clothes / Closed off but I could never stay closed,” he rapped on the track.

He first sparked dating rumors with J.Lo in December 2016 — four months after she split from her ex-boyfriend Casper — after he visited her at one of her shows from her Las Vegas residency. They continued to fuel the rumors after sharing photos of each other on Instagram. They were spotted out together on a few occasions too, and they even celebrated New Year’s Eve together.

Neither Jen nor Drake would publicly confirm or deny that they were an item, but they barely had a chance to because their relationship was over just as fast as it had started — they called it quits sometime in February 2017, after just two months of dating. Sources previously revealed to Life & Style that the reason for their split was because Drake had been seeing other women — including former porn star Sophie Brussaux.

“Drake was sleeping with [former porn star] Sophie Brussaux behind Jennifer’s back,” a source revealed. When Jen found out about their hookup, which allegedly happened on a trip to Amsterdam in January 2017, “she dropped him.” But J.Lo didn’t let the heartbreak stop her from searching for her true love — the following month, she went public with her relationship with her current boyfriend, former MLB star Alex Rodriguez.
