Mogilev Airport to launch 8 charter flights to Egypt in 2018

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Mogilev Airport will operate eight charter flights to Egypt in 2018, BelTA learned from the Mogilev branch of the state-run enterprise Belaeronavigatsia.

In accordance with the program, the airport will operate return charter flights to Hurghada through 20 October. “The first flight to Egypt took place back in October 2017, the following one in January 2018. With the new service launched, we will boost the passenger traffic during the off-season to some extent, which will greatly increase the airport's efficiency. Belavia will operate the flights. Mogilev-based travel firms working with this destination will help us with tourists,” the specialists pointed out.

Mogilev Airport also plans to operate ten Mogilev-Antalya-Mogilev flights in 2018. The first one is scheduled for 2 June. The airport will also launch seven return flights from Mogilev to Burgas (Bulgaria) from 12 June to 14 August. The services will be operated by Boeing 737 jets designed for 148 or 128 passengers, depending on the modification. The airport has obtained all the necessary certificates for aircraft maintenance services, including to Boeings and Russia's Tupolev Tu-154. “We are open to cooperation and ready to work together with travel firms, tour operators, and air carriers in order to increase the airport's efficiency,” the specialists noted.

Today the airport mainly provides air navigation and commercial services to transit aircraft and passengers along with cargo handling services.
