When Pop Diva Taylor Dayne strutted onto the stage at The Crown Palms, she magically transported me back to the late 80's. It was then as a young teen that I first heard “Tell It To My Heart”. Incredibly, it’s been 25 years since she released the aforementioned debut single which sold millions of copies and received international acclaim.

Dayne, who has seventeen Top 20 singles, concluded her Australian tour in Melbourne on Sunday night. She has an amazing, powerful voice, and effortlessly maintains perfect vocal range as she moves around the stage.

The audience were treated to Dayne sashaying through the crowd as she sung “I’ll Be Your Shelter”. Once back on stage, she jokingly told the audience “You people in the middle need to get your shit together, I'll be coming back”. Throughout the night the stunning 51- year- old performer interacted and playfully teased the audience, even joking that she has no clue what any Australian says due to the accent, but made sure they knew she loved them nonetheless.

Song after song, Dayne proved she still has it. “Prove Your Love”, “Cant Get Enough Of Your Love Baby” and the popular “Tell It To My Heart” were audience favourites and even got former Australian Idol finalist Anthony Callea onto his feet. Dayne was outstanding throughout the entire performance and reeled the crowd in with every note.

Number one Billboard hit, “Love Will Lead You Back”, and the energetic “With Every Beat of My Heart”, capped off a memorable evening.

At the end of the performance, Dayne spent time signing autographs and posing for pictures. Yet again solidifying that it's all about the fans.
