It’s been a hectic week in the football world with big results in the Champions League and the ever-unpredictable Championship, and the excitement is set to continue over the weekend.

We kick off on Friday night at the KP with Leicester hosting Newcastle , and it’s hard to see anything but a home win here.

New manager Brendan Rodgers has got the Foxes firing over the last few games – albeit against some struggling opposition – but Newcastle would fit into that category with only two away wins all season. With Jamie Vardy back amongst the goals you can back him to score the first at 13/5, while a home win with both teams to score comes out at 13/5. Bet on Leicester v Newcastle here.

After their Champions League heroics you might expect a hangover for Spurs on Saturday, especially with Harry Kane picking up another injury, but when the opponents are the hapless Huddersfield you can’t imagine anything other than a home win.

Similarly for the evening kick-off – United might have stuttered since Solskjaer was confirmed as boss, but West Ham have been poor on the road and were easily swept aside by Chelsea earlier this week. A home double for Spurs and Manchester United offers over £17 on a £10 bet, while Son Heung-Min at 11/4 is always a good choice in the first goalscorer market. Bet on Premier League here.

If you’re looking for a few selections to put into your accumulator from Saturday’s 3 o’clock kick offs, there’s plenty to choose from. In the Premier League, in-form Everton look like a good choice away at Fulham , while Burnley seem to have stopped their slide with two recent wins – 3 points against Cardiff would virtually confirm their top flight status for another season. Big games in the EFL

The Championship is probably the trickiest division to predict – outside of runaway leaders Norwich. One team quietly going about their business at the moment is Swansea, who have three straight wins under their belt and travel to struggling QPR on Saturday. They’ve left it too late for a play-off run, but expect to see them grab three points this weekend. Bet on the Championship here.

In League One, we’re deep into the fight for those promotion places. Luton have all but confirmed their place at the top, and we’re backing Sunderland to pull away from the chasing pack with a win this weekend. In League Two an interesting choice might be Oldham, who can go above opponents Swindon with a win on Saturday, and could still grab a place in the play-offs. Bet on the EFL here.

Putting Burnley, Everton, Swansea, Sunderland and Oldham into an acca offers £360 back from a £10 stake – and remember if one team lets you down we’ll give you your money back as a free bet thanks to The Pools Acca Insurance.

A proper Super Sunday

Super Sunday will live up to its billing this weekend, with both City and Liverpool in action on the same day. Liverpool have the trickier job with Chelsea visiting Anfield – especially with Eden Hazard in mesmerising form at the moment – but we think home advantage will help the Reds to three points.

For City, a trip to Palace looks like a straightforward win but the likes of Zaha and Townsend can cause an upset on their day.

Backing both Liverpool and City to win but both teams to score in each game gives you over £90 back on a £10 stake. Or, go for Liverpool and City to win alongside fellow favourites Norwich and Celtic and you’d be looking at over £60 back from a £10 stake. Place your Super Sunday acca here.
