The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers clinched the final two playoff spots on Sunday, the last day of the regular season.
The Cardinals won by beating the Brewers, who backed in when the San Francisco Giants lost to the San Diego Padres. The Philadelphia Phillies also were eliminated on the final day of baseball’s 60-game season.
Also, the Minnesota Twins clinched the AL Central.
