Entrepreneurs will have access to a series of digital technology workshops in Largs when Business Gateway’s DigitalBoost road show drives into town.

DigitalBoost, which is aimed at helping Scottish businesses capitalise on the rapidly developing area of digital technologies has been developed in partnership with Digital Scotland and is delivered by Business Gateway.

Business owners can learn more about how to use Facebook, how to create a digital marketing strategy and how to produce engaging online content.

Claire Duncan of Business Gateway Ayrshire said: “We like to get out and about to offer help and assistance to those who are either starting up their own business or want to develop their existing venture. Using digital technologies effectively can provide growth opportunities, improve business efficiencies and allow local businesses to enter new markets."

The following free workshops delivered by Gary Ennis of NSDesign will be on offer as part of the DigitalBoost roadshow:

Facebook for Business (Intermediate) – Thursday, 1st February from 5pm to 8pm at The Lounge, Largs and Tuesday, 20th March at 1.30pm to 4.30pm at Radio City, Kilbirnie - This workshop is designed for people who want to deepen their understanding of how Facebook can be used as an effective tool for reaching target audients and engaging with them

Digital Marketing Strategy – Thursday, 15th February from 5pm to 8pm at The Lounge, Largs – Digital marketing can deliver real world business growth and this workshop will show you a practical strategy for success

Producing Engaging Online Content – Thursday, 22nd February from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Saltcoats Town Hall – Ideal for businesses who already have a commercial website or use social media and want to understand what kind of content your customers are looking for and how to find, write and package it
