Owings Mills Man Faces Drug Charges

An Owings MIlls man allegedly ran from police and was reportedly found with a gun and drugs after he slipped and fell.

CUMBERLAND, MD — An Owings Mills man has been charged with drug and weapons charges after an incident over the weekend in western Maryland. The man reportedly tried to run away when police approached a home on Grand Avenue in Cumberland but was quickly apprehended.

Keyontray Izel Fisher, 26, of the 100 block of Fennington Circle in Owings Mills, faces 13 charges. According to court records, the charges stem from an incident on Sunday, Feb. 18.

The Cumberland Police were called at 5:17 p.m. that day because of a person who had a firearm in their possession in the area of Grand Avenue, where officers found three people sitting on a step, according to the Cumberland-Times News.

Fisher tried to run away but slipped and fell and was arrested, at which point the Cumberland-Times News reported he was found with heroin and cocaine.

  • Two counts of possession of drugs other than marijuana
  • Two counts of possession with intent to distribute
  • Obstructing and hindering
  • Removing a serial number
  • Using a firearm in a drug crime
  • Distributing drugs with a firearm
  • Possession of drugs with a firearm
  • Using a firearm in a felony crime
  • Illegal possession of a firearm
  • Firearm possession with a felony conviction
  • Having a handgun on his person

Court records show that Fisher was denied bail and has a preliminary hearing slated for March 16 in Allegany County District Court.
