Video: Man Torches 22 Dumpsters In Bellevue, Redmond

The 56-year-old was eventually arrested after the arson spree early Wednesday morning.

BELLEVUE, WA - A 56-year-old man went on an arson spree early Wednesday morning in Bellevue and Redmond. The man lit more than 20 Dumpsters on fire across the two cities, according to police.

Bellevue police and fire first responded to a burning near Dumpsters along the 14700 block of Northeast 20th Street in the Overlake area. Police found about 12 Dumpsters on fire there. Authorities in Redmond found an additional 10 to 12 Dumpsters on fire.

Luckily, the fires did not cause any serious damage to people or property.

A King County Sheriff's Office helicopter responded to the area and helped police track down the suspect. He was arrested and taken to jail on charges of criminal trespass and second-degree arson.
