ONE OF THE TWO SUSPECTS IS IN CUSTODY. THERE'S NO WORD ON THE CHARGES. A SECURITY GUARD WAS HURT IN A SHOOTING AT A VICKSBURG APARTMENT COMPLEX. VICKSBURG POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE "NEW MAIN APARTMENTS" EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. OFFICERS SAY A SECURITY GUARD WAS SHOT IN HIS LEG AFTER TWO PEOPLE APPROACHED HIM FOR MONEY. THE PEOPLE RAN OFF WITH THE SECURITY GUARD

A security guard at a Vicksburg apartment complex was shot in an armed robbery Friday night. Vicksburg police said they responded to a shooting around 9:46 p.m. at the New Main Apartments on Alcorn Drive. The security guard at the complex was found suffering from a gunshot would to his lower left leg.According to the victim, two male suspects wearing masks approached him demanding money. A struggle took place and the security guard was shot. The suspects fled the scene with the victim's wallet and car keys.
