Simon Cringes at Teen’s “Impossible” Song Choice—But Her Voice Has Him Slamming the Golden Buzzer

Simon Cowell is the man behind some of the most successful voices in the world. He’s credited with forming One Direction, his most successful artist is none other than Susan Boyle, and without 15 seasons of American Idol, we’d never have artists like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks.

The man has a knack for talent, and he’s built his career as one of the most stoic and brutally honest talent judges the world has ever seen.

Simon is currently filming Britain’s Got Talent, where he met 15-year-old Sarah Ikumu.

When her time came to take to the stage, Sarah introduced herself to the judges, then told them she’d be singing “And I’m Telling You.”

Arguably one of the most famous and difficult songs in the world, Simon questioned the high schooler’s song choice. Audience members cringed with similar reservation as the teen announced she was to attempt the “impossible” song. Sarah confidently replied that she chose the song because she believes it shows her “vocal ability the best.”

The judge, who’s watched and heard thousands of people attempt this song, just smiled back at Sarah, and said, “Let’s do it.”
