Free-agent quarterback Tarvaris Jackson might be jobless for the foreseeable future following his arrest after he allegedly pointed a gun at his wife and threatening to kill her.
Jackson’s wife told police she feared that the intoxicated former quarterback was going to pull the trigger; she used an iron and knife at points in the argument for protection.

Jackson, who was visiting family in Kissimmee, Fla., told investigators there was no gun involved in the argument, but police later found a handgun and marijuana in the home. He was arrested for aggravated assault.
Jackson’s kids were asleep during the incident, and a witness in the house stopped Jackson from shooting, according to the police report.

The former Vikings and Seahawks quarterback later admitted he pulled a gun on his wife during an argument. According to the police report, Jackson’s wife replied that he "better be accurate because you ain’t accurate on the field."
Jackson's career completion percentage was 59.6 percent over nine NFL seasons.
