Phoenix Father Charged With Running Over, Killing Son

Police say that Richard Hamilton was moving a truck on his property when he struck his 21-month-old son.

PHOENIX, AZ – A Phoenix man is charged with killing his son Thursday night. Police say that 49-year-old Richard Hamilton was moving a vehicle on his property when he struck his 21-month-old son.

Police say that Hamilton told officers that he didn't realize that Samuel Hamilton was so close to the vehicle at the time.

He said that he felt a bump.

It happened at the family home by I-17 and Northern Avenue.
