Hope College's Daniel Settecerri has been recognized as one of the top men's golfers in NCAA Division III for the 2017-18 season.

The sophomore from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills HS) is one of 28 to receive honorable-mention recognition on the Division III PING All-America teams announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Settecerri joins teammate Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) - a first-team All-American.

"Daniel receiving this honor makes me really happy for him," head coach Scott Lokers said. "Daniel epitomizes the Division III student athlete. He is an outstanding pre-med student, a great player, and a fine young man.  Somehow, Daniel finds the time to fit everything into his schedule -- and he does everything with excellence and enthusiasm."

Settecerri helped the Flying Dutchmen advance to the NCAA Division III Championships last spring and finish a team-best sixth for the second consecutive season. He shot a 1-under-par 71 during the final round of the 72-hole national tournament.

Settecerri averaged 73.2 per 18 holes this season. Eight of his 20 rounds were even-par or under. His best round of the season was a 3-under-par 69 at last fall's MIAA Championship.
