Rudimental revealed as secret artists behind clubland smash ‘Healing’

Calvin Harris and Todd Terry had dropped the previously anonymous track into their sets

Rudiumental have been revealed as the artists behind recent club anthem ‘Healing’.

The track had been played by DJs including Calvin Harris, Todd Terry and Roger Sanchez. It was released as a white-label 12” with Major Tom given as the artist name.

It’s now been revealed as a one-off Rudimental song and has been released today (August 26) on the band’s own label, Major Toms. ‘Healing’ features vocals by J Angel, a Jay Z protégé signed to his Roc Nation stable.

Other DJs to play ‘Healing’ when it was still anonymous include Crookers, Groove Armada and Oliver Heldens.

Rudiemental headline South West Four festival at Clapham Common tomorrow. It also stars Dizzee Rascal, Andy C, MK, DJ EZ, Knife Party, Armand Van Helden, Netsky, Gorgon City, Sub Focus and Wilkinson.

The Chemical Brothers headline the Sunday, on a day also featuring Carl Cox, Paul Kalkbrenner, Above & Beyond, Sven Vath, Sasha, Recondite and Booka Shade.

Rudimental, who released second album ‘We The Generation’ in 2015, also play UK shows at Lockdown Festival on September 11 and The Big Reunion on November 18 and 25, with Hannah Wants also headlining The Big Reunion on a bill featuring Redlight, Lethal Bizzle, Blonde, Sigala and Sigma.
