Whitney Houston 's husband Bobby Brown described how he once used his finger to scoop poo out of his wife's bum in a disgusting confession caught on camera.

The grim moment was aired on reality show Being Bobby Brown back in 2005.

And it's still just as shocking 15 years on.

While legendary singer Whitney probably wasn't too happy about having the filthy secret shared on TV, she did say the moment proved how much her husband loved her.

The outrageous confession came as Whitney sat having her make up done, while Bobby sat next to her on top of the closed toilet.

He said: "I've had to dig a doodie bubble out of your butt."

A horrified Whitney said "Okay, alright" as she turned away from her husband and looked directly into the camera.

"He's trippin'," she added.

The scene then cut to Whitney and Bobby sitting together in a restaurant.

Whitney was fidgeting in her chair and said: "I'm about to do the doo. I'm about to drop it on the one.

"A boatload."

Flashing back to the original setting, Whitney held her hand up towards her husband as if signalling him to stop talking as he said: "That turd was too big ... and she couldn't get it out and I had to help her."

Whitney tried to block the camera from seeing Bobby as he held up his hands and said he used "these fingers right here".

"Oh my God," she screamed, before adding: "My sisters were going, 'that's love, that's love, that's love ... black love'."

Being Bobby Brown was debuted by channel Bravo on June 30, 2005 and ran for 11 episodes, ending on December 21, that year.

The show only ever ran for one series because Whitney wouldn't sign up for a second. It's said Bobby struggled to get the green light for another run of episodes without her.

The series never made it to DVD, with a spokesperson for the channel saying it would remain in their archives and never see public light again, but of course, it's all available on YouTube now.

One critic described the show as "undoubtedly the most disgusting and execrable series ever to ooze its way onto television".

He also said that it robbed Whitney "of any last shreds of dignity".

Whitney and Bobby, who married in 1992, got divorced in 2007, two years after the show ended.

Whitney tragically died at age 48 in 2012 after she was found submerged in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Paramedics were called and they performed CPR on the star but she was pronounced dead.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office ruled that her death was caused by drowning and the "effects of atheroschlerotic heart disease and cocaine use".

The room she had been staying in, suite 434, was later retired by the hotel following a string of macabre demands from people who wanted to stay in the room.

The former couple's only child, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, died at the age of 22 in 2015 in similar circumstances.

She was found face down in a bathtub at her home and CPR was attempted.

She was placed in an induced coma and died six months later.

Whitney and Bobby's marriage was often volatile.
