After receiving voter approval for four roof projects, school officials are proposing another one. The School Department has prepared an application seeking partial reimbursement from the Massachusetts School Building Authority to replace the roof at the Bryantville Elementary School, according to Erin Obey, the district’s director of finance and operations. The application requires approval by the Board of Selectmen, who will both be taking it up this coming week. Voters on Jan.25 approved a debt exclusion, or temporary tax increase, to fund the town’s share of roof repairs and replacement at its four other schools — the Hobomock and North Pembroke elementary schools, the Community Middle School, and the high school. The state authority is reimbursing the district for 52.06 percent of the eligible costs of the $11.7 million project, which is planned for this summer. Pembroke had applied to the authority last year for roof projects at all five schools. Obey said the district now wants to reapply for Bryantville, the only one not awarded funding then. Should it be invited into the funding pipeline, the first step would be a study.
