MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Paloma Crisis Stabilization and Detox Center in Martinsburg held an open house on Friday ahead of the new 16-bed facility's opening on Oct. 1.

The near 7,000-square-foot facility at 415 Wilson St. is set to open in the former Buyers Guide building, which has been renovated and expanded.

Peter Callahan of Martinsburg-based Callahan Counseling Services, who initiated the project, said Friday that he still is looking for a registered nurse manager for the facility, but has hired a number of other employees.

Martinsburg psychiatrist Shahnoor Khan will be the center's medical director.
