If you are looking for high school prospects that could one day turn into college football stars, there are nearly a handful of prep schools in Florida and Georgia that would be great places to start.

According to data compiled by over at Tableau Public by a user named AIRWOLF!, four of the nation’s top 10 high schools for producing FBS talent during the last 14 recruiting cycles hail from Florida and Georgia alone.

The top program on the list is St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, which leads the way with 130 total FBS prospects during that span. Notable alumni of the school include Joey Bosa, Geno Atkins, Lamarcus Joyner, Giovani Bernard and Michael Palardy.

Coming in second in the nation is Miami Central, which had 78 total FBS signees during that time. Willis McGahee, Najeh Davenport, Ali Highsmith, Devonta Freeman and Stanley Jean-Baptiste all went to that high school.

Georgia’s top high school on the list is Stephenson in Stone Mountain, which tied for No. 4 overall with 70 prospects. Bruce Irvin, Preston Smith and Kelvin Sheppard are notable alumni from that program.

Buford was the second Georgia program listed and No. 7 overall nationally with 63. Vadal Alexander, Reid Ferguson and Darius Walker all went to Buford.

There’s no telling how many stops SEC coaches have made at those schools over the years but based on the fact so many prospects have come out of each program in recent years, it’s safe to assume the number of trips is too high to count.
