BUENA 41, DOS PUEBLOS 21

Buena: Behind a stout offensive line, the Bulldogs rushed for 310 yards and five touchdowns on 49 carries. Robert Aguilar had 32 carries for 179 yards and two TDs. Devin Morris had 16 carries for 131 yards, 88 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Travis Proulx completed 6 of 10 passes for 99 yards and a score. Aguilar and Morris were the Offensive Players of the Game. Adam Paramo was the Defensive Player of the Game and Chad Rogers was the Lineman of the Game.

FRESHMAN FOOTBALL

CAMARILLO 18, MOORPARK 14

Camarillo: Jesse Valenzuela ran for 141 yards and a touchdown. James McNamara threw for 50 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for another score. Ryan Lythgoe caught a 11-yard touchdown pass. Anthony Mondragon moved the chains late in the fourth quarter with huge runs and reception. Grady Liddell, Tyler Macasieb, Damien Najar, Randall Braziel, Lucas Balentine, DJ Diaz, Justin Meijer, Brandon Trotter, Sam Varney and Brandon Quirarte led the defense, creating turnovers and getting needed stops. Varney and Macasieb had great returns on special teams. Brandon McVicker, Spencer Davis, Isaiah Johnson, Sam Watson, Sergio Lopez and Tyler Nielson blocked well.

PYFL Midget

Thousand Oaks: The Titans forced fourth turnovers and played smothering defense, allowing 18 total yards en route to their third shutout of the season. Paul Tiedje, Robert Dixon and Jacob Poley all had fumble recoveries. Aidan Lutz added an interception. Will Halub, Chris Reynolds, Chase Martin, Connor Myers and Micah Nelson all had solid defensive efforts. Caleb Alvary ran for a TD and caught a 15-yard TD pass from Ethan Goldberg. Jonathon Abarzua ran for two TDs and two 2-point conversions. Poley hooked up with Lutz on 9-yard scoring pass. Caden Sramek and Dixon each had big first-down catches of 31 and 25 yards. Daniel Lyons, Colin McKenna and Dean Messer controlled the line of scrimmage on offense. Kenny Knight caught a 2-point conversion from Goldberg to round out the scoring. The Titans improved to 5-2.

PYFL Junior

Thousand Oaks: Tailback Eric Juels had a strong day on the ground, running behind a stout offensive line consisting of Ryan Sullivan, Tonino Calfo, Jaylan Green, Ryan Miller, Jacob VanWijk, Adrian Espinosa, Shane Black and Gabriel Rodriguez. Quarterback Charlie Spencer threw touchdowns to receivers Kyle Fitzgerald and George Diakoumopolous. Defensive end Oliver Herron had two huge stops for losses, backed by outstanding performances by defensive linemen Isaac Pedroza and Beau Purvis. Linebacker Ryan Sullivan had a solid day and linebacker Gil-Laan Jackson made a big stop.

THOUSAND OAKS 13, SANTA BARBARA 0

PYFL Peewee

Thousand Oaks: The Titans improved to 5-2 by posting their fifth shutout of the season. Jordan Johnson scored on a 35-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter and Karson Papotta threw a touchdown pass to Landon Mazariegos in the final minute of the first half. The defense was led by Jayce Koenig and Jameson Born. The defensive unit was dominant for the Titans, limiting Santa Barbara to just four first downs in the game.

JV GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

BUENA WINS CHANNEL LEAGUE TITLE

Buena: The Bulldogs beat Dos Pueblos 25-22, 25-18 to win the Channel League title with an 8-0 mark. Madi Noirot had 15 assists and six digs. Meagan Jamroz had 13 digs and four assists. Julia Iverson had 10 kills. Corryn Dubransky had four aces and five digs. Buena finished 15-3 overall. The players are Jamroz, Mckenah Coatsworth, Alexa Nugent, Anna Creighton, Iverson, Noirot, Dubransky, Cozette Roberts, Autumn Rojelio, Alexis Ozuna, Taylor Spira, Kelsey Szymczak, Megan Sandoval and Savanah Nelson. The head coach is Eric Valdivia.
