Atlanta Officials To Break Ground On New Colony Square Building In Midtown

Atlanta officials will break ground Tuesday on a new "reimagined" Colony Square in Midtown.

ATLANTA, GA -- Atlanta officials will break ground Tuesday, Oct. 10 on a new "reimagined" Colony Square in Midtown. The event, which will feature chef-curated food, live entertainment, a virtual reality tour, a live demolition of building 500, and more, will run from 3 to 5 p.m.

Atlanta officials, including Mayor Kasim Reed, Midtown Alliance President / CEO Kevin Green, managing partner at North American Properties Mark Toro, and partner / vice president John Kelley will be on hand.(SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. The community is invited to come out to witness the activities, which will transform one of Midtown's most venerable landmarks. Food will be provided by several eateries such as 5Church and Wildleaf, along with Sukoshi and Donetto. Cocktails will by available from Sunshine Alchemy and mixologists from Establishment; and live entertainment will be from the Mia Green Band.
