FRACKVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Schuylkill County community extended a helping hand to victims of a massive fire last night.
“Elks Lodge” in Frackville organized a fundraiser to help more than a half-dozen Ashland residents get back on their feet.
Besides a live band — the event featured food, 60 raffle baskets, and a 50/50 drawing.
February, nine homes along Brock street in Ashland went up in flames.
By holding this fundraiser, organizers feel it’s a great way to pay it forward.
Participants paid a 10-dollar cover fee to get in — and all proceeds from the event go to the victims of that Schuylkill County fire.
