Monroe Rotarians to Sponsor Food Packing Event

MONROE, CT — The Rotary of Monroe is looking for volunteers, ages 10 and older, to package thousands of meals, which will be distributed to local food pantries and churches.

The group's third annual food packaging event will be held Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Monroe Elementary School, 375 Monroe Turnpike. One package of food feeds a family of four.

The Rotary Club will accept and match dollar for dollar all financial donations up to a total of $2,500.

There is no charge for the event.
