Buffalo Bills fan confidence inching upward after blowout of New York Jets

People see hope with Brian Daboll, young receivers, prehaps.

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Buffalo Bills fans liked what they saw on Sunday, but they’re still being cautious. In fan voting using FanPulse, Bills fans are coming around to the future of the team, even if only slightly. After four weeks in the twenties, they are picking up steam heading into the bye week.

While 40% of Bills fans being confident in the direction of the team might not seem like a lot, it’s 19 points - almost double - the 21% of fans who were confident just one week ago. It’s the second-largest single-week jump for Buffalo fans this year, behind only the rush of excitement following the blowout of the Minnesota Vikings.

The Bills also destroyed the confidence of New York Jets fans, sending their fan confidence plummeting to just 3%. How Todd Bowles still has a job is beyond me.

New Orleans Saints fans remain the most confident (100%) with the Los Angeles Rams (98%) and Kansas City Chiefs (97%) not far behind. Fans of the Indianapolis Colts (96%) and Chicago Bears (95%) are also pretty pumped. The Tennessee Titans enjoyed a huge surge after their win over New England, up from 45% to 94%. Patriots fans are down to just 51%.
