Courtney Thorne-Smith is gearing up to make her return to CBS’ Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy, Alan Harper’s (Jon Cryer) one-time girlfriend.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the former Melrose Place star, who starred as Alan Harper’s girlfriend, Lyndsey, until things went wrong after he burned her house down, will reprise the character in a recurring role.

Courtney Thorne-Smith’s character was last seen back in January when things went from bad to worse after Alan became obsessed with the fact that she was secretly dating Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen).

Right now, it’s unclear where her storyline will fall, but the chemistry between Jon Cryer and Courtney Thorne-Smith was always fantastic.

We’re also happy to report that actress Judy Greer will play Ashton Kutcher’s ex-wife on the show. Greer was seen in past episodes of the show as Myra, Charlie’s love interest.

Two and a Half Men kicks off on Monday, Sept. 19 and will feature the debut of Ashton Kutcher.

This will mark a big return for Men as it will be the first time fans will get a glimpse of the show minus its former star, Charlie Sheen.

Ironically enough, Charlie Sheen will be roasted on the same day. Which one will be getting the DVR treatment?

What do you think of Courtney Thorne-Smith’s return?
