PEOPLE who took part in First World War commemorative events last autumn are being urged to share their pictures and stories for a time capsule.

Devizes Town Council and Royal British Legion branch are working together to create a public exhibition which will go on show in the town on June 28.

Wiltshire Museum will keep the memorabilia and help create a time capsule for people to discover in the future.

A spokesman for the town council said: "We would like to invite people to send in their photos, memorabilia and stories to us. Following on from the World War 1 commemoration events of last year, the town council and British Legion are in the process of capturing people’s stories, photos and memories of the events of 2018 that can be put together for an exhibition.

"These will also be kept as a time capsule and historical record of everything that happened in Devizes."

Anyone who has anything to contribute should email elanoroddy@devizes-tc.gov.uk or drop them into the town hall by February 11.
