DUI Arrest After Fairfield Woman Found With Wine: Westport PD
Her vehicle was running in the Post Road with its brake lights engaged when officers found her, according to police.
WESTPORT, CT — A Fairfield woman was arrested after she was found to be driving while intoxicated, according to police. An officer noticed a woman slumped over her steering wheel on Post Road East after midnight Dec. 15.
The vehicle was running and the brake lights were engaged. Officers had to try several times to rouse the driver.
Operator Carole Sonick, 54, appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, police said. They also spotted what appeared to be wine in the console area of the vehicle.

She was charged with DUI and drinking while operating a vehicle. She was released after posting a $500 bond.
