Nancy Ann Clarke passed away on July 23 in Sequim, WA. Nancy was born in the Eastern Washington town of Ellensburg on November 14, 1941, the daughter of William and Georgia Orr Richardson. Her paternal Grandmother and Step-Grandfather Gus & Esther Erickson had a dairy farm for many years on the West Valley Road.

In 1947 Nancy’s family to Chimacum. As a child Nancy attended Chimacum, Wapato, and Quincy schools. She also attended Kellogg High School in Kellogg Idaho until 11th grade, eventually graduating from Enumclaw High School in 1960 where she received a scholarship to Mr. Lee’s Beauty school in Seattle. She worked as a beautician until her marriage to Donald Jupiter. They owned an insurance business. Don died in 1981.

After the death of her first husband, Nancy continued to run the insurance business they owned. She married Vincent (Vince) Clarke in 1982. She and Vince owned an insurance company in Des Moines WA. After retirement Nancy & Vince moved to Gig Harbor, Washington until Vince’s death in 2016. They were married for 34 years.

After her husband’s death, she moved to Sequim to be near her siblings. She passed away at her home. Nancy was a warm and loving person who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Shelleye Clarke McClinn of Kent and Deborah Clarke Enriquez (Mario) of Seattle, and two grandsons, Zachery & Kolten Pierce. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are brother Cary (Barbara) Richardson of Sequim, Marge (Bruce) Samuelson of Port Townsend and Kathleen (Robert) Hays of Sequim and many nieces and nephews.

There was a grave side service at Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum on Tuesday, July 31. Donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Support Group at 7701 Shansie, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.
