LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say a man was robbed of shoes he was trying to sell after meeting two teenagers he had contacted on Facebook.

Police say the man used Facebook to negotiate the sale of a pair of tennis shoes. Officers say the would-be buyers arranged to meet him about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Linthicum.

Authorities say when the man arrived at the meeting place, one teenager punched him in the face and the other teen snatched the shoes. Police say the man chased the teens, but stopped when one pointed a handgun at him.

Officers used information from Facebook to identify suspects and arrested them.

Eighteen-year-old Zachary Lynch of Glen Burnie and a 16-year-old are charged with armed robbery and other offenses.
