Our Moscato d'Asti connection in Italy makes wine so unique that the clamor for more never ends, even if the supply often does. If you've never tried our Moscato and only have "grocery" brands as a reference point, let me assure you: what we have here is an entirely different animal. Artisan-crafted from a single vineyard's 30-year-old vines, this is the pinnacle expression of the varietal and the one you'll find yourself using as a benchmark against all others.
5% Alcohol
There's nothing better on a hot summer afternoon than sitting on the patio with a glass of wine. Of course, not just any wine will work for this job. Refreshing, low alcohol, bubbly wines are at the top of my list and this one fits the bill perfectly.
The 2017 Cameron Hughes Moscato d'Asti Lot 624 begins with a pleasing aroma of mandarin orange, apple, floral notes and a touch of nuttiness. The wine tastes crisp, bubbly and downright delicious and is eminently quaffable at just 5% alcohol. Lots of mandarin orange and apple carry over from the nose along with pear and peach. All those refreshing flavors are wrapped up in a lively mouthfeel and the hint of nuttiness from the nose re-appears on the surprisingly long finish. This is excellent stuff, time to stock up for summer!
