A 20-year-old woman has died after she was shot in the head Sunday night in Cherokee County, according to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.
Fowler said Drenika Lanette Hopper of Carrollton, Georgia died at 7:23 p.m. Sunday at Spartanburg Medical Center where she was taken for treatment.
Hopper was shot in the head around 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Morris Drive.
