Moravetz, Louis Lester "Les" most currently a resident of Minnetonka's Beacon Hill Presbyterian Home, passed away on Monday, May 14 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 93 years old. The son of Louis and Eva Moravetz, he was born in Hendricks, MN and spent his early adult years in Ivanhoe, MN before moving his family to Richfield, MN in 1960, after securing work with the Minnesota Gas Company (Minnegasco) where he later became a foreman of a repair crew. He loved his work, and he loved the camaraderie of the workplace with his many friends. Les was an avid fisherman and deer hunter, and of course, participated in a few card games and banter on those trips with his buddies. Occasionally he would catch a fish or two, and some years even came home with a deer. He was curious and genuinely interested in everyone he met, grateful for his opportunities, and positive about his life - even in the most difficult times. Most of all, he loved his wife, two sons, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons - who he tutored in "life skills" during summers at his lake cabin in Hendricks. His idea of a perfect day was one spent at a Thanksgiving dinner with his family and preferably many other nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and four brothers (Ervin, Arnold, Lloyd, and Ernest). He is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 71 years, who caringly tended to him in the last years; brothers Vernon of North Port, FL, and Myron of Springfield, MN; son Joel of Edina, MN, son Lowell and daughter-in-law Alanna of St. Paul, and beloved grandsons Peter of New York City and Mike of Asheville, NC. We will miss his joy in life, unfailing positivity, love of a good conversation, and enduring loyalty. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 18th at 11 AM at Gethsemane Lutheran Church 715 Minnetonka Mills Rd Hopkins, MN 55343. Memorials preferred to Beacon Hill Presbyterian Home 5300 Beacon Hill Rd Minnetonka, MN 55345. Washburn-McReavy.com Strobeck Johnson 952-938-9020
