Woman says boyfriend beat, raped her in months-long ordeal

A Texas woman says she “lost everything” after just three months with her boyfriend — who is accused of beating and raping her repeatedly during the harrowing ordeal and threatened to force her into prostitution.

Kaila Kutzik, 22, of San Antonio, detailed how Bishoy Mina Elkhaliny, 30, allegedly attacked her one day last month in an extensive Facebook post on Tuesday, one day after the accused brute was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and aggravated sexual assault, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

“There have been a series of events that have happened to me in these past 3 months that I wish wouldn’t happen to anyone else in their entire life,” Kurzik wrote. “I have lost everything. I’m basically just a random human being on earth because I have no identity.”

Elkhaliny started beating Kutzik at about 1 a.m. on Dec. 30, “worse than he ever before,” Kutzik said.

“He broke my face, he broke my teeth, and left me with bruising all over my body,” she continued. “I begged to go to the hospital and he refused. He told me I deserved to look deformed for the rest of my life. I had no way out. He took all of my belongings and hid all of the cell phones. He threatened to chain me up to the bed so I couldn’t go anywhere. He made me clean his house while I couldn’t even see out of my eye.”

Kutzik began losing hope and was in a lot of pain when Elkhaliny, whom she referred to as “her abuser,” threatened to take her to Las Vegas and force her into selling her body for sex, she said.

“There was no way out and I was giving up,” Kutzik wrote.

Then, a knock at the door came early on Dec. 31, as Elkhaliny was still asleep. It was a police officer who went to Elkhaliny’s home in San Antonio in connection to a theft investigation, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

“There was still hope,” Kutzik continued. “But I was scared. I looked down the hallway to see if my abuser had [woken] up and he hadn’t. I then decided I was going to make a run for it. I ran down the stairs out the door while the policeman was getting back in his car and begged him to take me far away. He let me in the car and called for backup and an ambulance.”

While she was taken to two different hospitals for treatment for her injuries, including an orbital fracture, Kutzik said Elkhaliny continued to harass her.

“My abuser would call the hospital pretending to be my dad to find out if I was still there,” she continued. “Not even my own family could be trusted. My abuser has taken over all my social media accounts including Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp, and Instagram. He has taken over all my email accounts even my apple id. I have no way to regain access to any of these which has forced me to create a whole new identity.”

Kutzik shared her horrifying account on a Facebook profile using an alias of “Amber June,” complete with a profile picture urging people not to be silent in the face of abuse.

“I have pressed charges and I can finally have a little closure knowing he was just arrested today,” Kutzik’s post continued. “Please pray that he gets what he deserves and that I can move on from this horrible situation and start new.”

A GoFundMe account was created by Kutzik’s cousin to help cover some of her medical costs.

Elkhaliny, meanwhile, remains held without bail in the Bexar County Jail. He has two previous convictions for domestic abuse, according to the San Antonio-Express News.
