Robert Sofia’s role in a case brought by a former lover seeking to be restored to her job as a high school Principal in Queens is as a witness against her. To a great degree, however, he feels that he is awaiting trial as well, his reputation tarnished by what he calls her false accusations that, among other things, he maliciously tried to get her fired after she ended their relationship more than three years ago.
To the contrary, he said in an interview earlier this month, he came forward with the evidence that led the Department of Education to demote Annie Seifullah after she’d served three years as the head of Robert F. Wagner Secondary School of Arts and Technology in Long Island City once the relationship soured because he’d come to view her as a “sexual predator” who engaged in liaisons with several school employees, including a top DOE official.
