Three Augusta area 'underperforming' Bi-Lo stores are closing

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Three "underperforming" Bi-Lo stores in the Augusta area will be closing their doors by the end of March.

That's the word from Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of Bi-Lo, who says these three stores have been targeted for closure by March 25:

-111 Edgewood Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841

-500 Fury's Ferry Road, Martinez, GA 30907

-4480 Columbia Rd., Martinez, GA 30907

"Our associates are committed to serving your community with the same level of service, value and quality you have come to expect from your store while the process is ongoing. The process generally lasts no longer than 30 days and we will regularly share details about special mark-down discounts on our remaining merchandise," a statement from Southeastern Grocers said.

Several other Bi-Lo stores are closing across Georgia and the Carolinas in the weeks ahead.
