Rural Schools Association

Payson Unified School District Superintendent Greg Wyman, former Tonto Basin Superintendent Johnny Ketchem, Payson High School science teacher Andrew Fiala and former Payson Superintendent Casey O’Brien were at the Arizona Rural Schools Association conference Saturday in Flagstaff.

The Arizona Rural School Association honored two of Rim Country’s own Saturday, including an administrator who served four decades in education and a teacher who has worked nearly 10 years.

The association inducted Johnny Ketchem into its Hall of Fame for his work in both the Tonto Basin and Payson school districts and Andrew Fiala was recognized as Gila County’s 2017 Teacher of the Year.
