It didn’t look good for the Hawks when Steph Curry was just casually draining halfcourt jumpers in pregame warmups. It was just a sign of things to come.
Curry absolutely embarrassed Atlanta in the first half. First, he wanted to make sure he was still hot after his pregame display:
Yes, that’s a heat-check 90 seconds into the game.
Then Curry put Al Horford in the spin cycle before whipping a left-handed pass over to an open Harrison Barnes for 3.
Finally, he finished off the half with a fall-away 3 that you just knew was going to drop.
Watch Draymond Green. He starts celebrating the make as soon as it leaves Curry’s hands.
UPDATE: The savagery continued in the second half. Curry nailed a contested 3 and proceeded to shimmy in front of a despondent Hawks bench.
Curry finished with 36 points and eight assists in a 102-92 win for Golden State.
