Dr. Jeremy Blanchard has joined St. James Healthcare as the chief medical officer, according to the hospital.
Blanchard, a Montana native, will be responsible for medical staff affairs and quality at both the medical staff and facility level.
Blanchard comes to St. James from PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Belling-ham, Wash., where he served as vice president of quality and medical affairs. Prior to that, he was the medical director and founder of an adult hospitalist and intensivist program in Kirkland, Wash.
He is an Army veteran and has over 20 years of experience and is board-certified internal medicine.
Blanchard and his wife, Francie, also a Montana native, have two daughters.
“We are very pleased Dr. Blanchard has joined us. His knowledge and skills will be very beneficial as we move forward with new quality improvement initiatives and prepare St. James for upcoming government changes in payment,” said Chuck Wright, president and CEO of St. James Healthcare.
