This week's featured Pets of the Week from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are Carrie & Debbie.

Carrie and Debbie are mixed-breed dogs believe to be a mother-daughter duo, hence their namesakes of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.

The pair were found as strays wandering along a road. Debbie is being treated for heart-worms and should be clear of them within 5 months, according to Dr. Linda Kuhn.

The dogs will be up-to-date on vaccines and shots and will be micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before adoption.

The adoption center is open Friday - Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The HSEC is also currently looking for more foster families for dogs and cats -- particularly those who are willing to take in Mamas and their babies.

You can visit the society's website to learn more, www.hsecarolina.org.

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina brings adoptable animals every Wednesday at 6:25 a.m. on WITN News at Sunrise.
