VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Some South Georgia first responders were in for a surprise when a Wild Adventures truck arrived at the Lowndes County Fire Station with Harlem Globetrotter "Torch" on Friday. And she put on a little show to say thank you for all that the first responders do.

Wild Adventures partnered up with the Harlem Globetrotters just in time for Memorial Day Weekend to help put smiles on the faces of those who have lost a loved one and need a little excitement.

Globetrotter Cherelle George, known as "Torch," said it is an honor to recognize the military and first responders.

"It's important for myself and my teammates that you'll see over this weekend to be here and entertain you guys for the weekend. Just to get your mind off of what's going on, Memorial weekend and recognizing the fallen heroes," explained George.

The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters will be dribbling, dunking and jumping at Wild Adventures on May 26 and May 27, with performances at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
