What’s open or closed in Broward County on Wednesday.

GOVERNMENT/SCHOOLS

* Federal, county and state offices, health departments and centers will be closed. Municipal offices (with the exception of Sea Ranch Lakes), will be closed.

* Public schools, Broward College, Florida Atlantic University will be closed. Nova Southeastern University will be open.

SERVICES

* Stock markets will be open. Most banks will be closed. TD Bank branches will be open.

* Post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery.

* Broward County‘s Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.

* Garbage pickup will follow its regular schedule. The Broward County Landfill, at 7101 SW 205 Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.

RECREATION

* The county library system will be closed. Nova Southeastern University Alvin Sherman Library will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

* Broward County regional parks, neighborhood parks, nature centers, natural areas will be open with a holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50 at regional parks. Deerfield Island Park will be closed.

TRANSPORTATION

* Tri-Rail and Broward County Transit will operate regular schedules.

SHOPPING

* Supermarkets and malls will be open.
